  1. Physical Examination 
  2. ‚Ä¢ Enlarged lymph nodes in the neck, above the clavicles, under the arms or in the groin.
  3. ‚Ä¢ Skin breakdown from scratching (excoriation) over most of the body because of itching.
  4. ‚Ä¢ Fluid around the lungs (pleural effusion). 
  5. ‚Ä¢ Liver or spleen enlargement.
  6. ‚Ä¢ Abdominal mass. 
  7. ‚Ä¢ Areas of bony tenderness.

  9. Blood and Other Tests 
  10. ‚Ä¢ Complete blood count, including erythrocyte (red cell) sedimentation rate.
  11. ‚Ä¢ Blood chemistries. These may be abnormal because of the tumor or because of the involvement of bone, the
  12.   kidneys or liver.

  14. Imaging 
  15. ‚Ä¢ Chest x-ray may show masses within the chest, direct involvement of the lung or a pleural effusion.
  16. ‚Ä¢ CT scan of the chest, abdomen and pelvis to look for enlarged lymph nodes or the involvement of the liver or
  17.   spleen.
